New dress on it´s way!

I´ve started at a new course with Business Economy, Sales & Service and IT, so that I will be more attractive when I apply for jobs, because there are not lots of them available! So right now it takes a lot of my time, and so does my assignment with the suits, for the company NUNC. Therefore I don´t have a lot of time to work on my own projects, but when I have time I´m working on a Maxi Dress (the sketch below). I will make it in the fabric that I designed at the Computer Design course that I participated in a few weeks ago. It's 100% silk with small birds on it, as you can see below...
I think it will be fantastic when it´s done and I want to finish it before April 22. where I´m going on vacation to Rome for five days!!
Hope you like it, even though it´s still only a sketch.

Plans for Saturday?

On this Saturday afternoon I will show you a dress wich I´ve made as a school project a few years ago. I wish I had plans for tonight where I could dress up like on the picture, or just a little...
Instead I have to work on an assaignment including a suit, but more about that another time (when I´ve finshed it)!

Orange Eyecandy

My latest project is the dress below. It´s for one of my friends, and I promised to have it ready for tomorrow when it´s her birthday. It´s an orange fifties dress, with a corsage upper part and a skirt with lots of width. The fabric is from Prada and it´s 100% cotton. The lining is acetate.
I finished the dress yesterday, but I don´t have a picture of it yet. Instead I made this cutout with the real dress in about 1:10. The fabric is the one I´ve used, but the waist is a little too high on this sketch.

Beneath you can see how the pattern looks (it´s about 1:10 and it´s only the front).

Springtime and Confirmation

Today is the first day of spring, and outside the sun is shining!
Lots of young girls (and boys) are these days looking forward to their Confirmation, wondering how the day will be, and not at least what to wear! In the occasion of that I will show you a dress I made last year, for my boyfriend’s cousin. I hope it will inspire some, and remember you are always more than welcome to contact me, if you want me to make a dress or something else.
The dress is made in a cream-colored crispy silk, with an upper part in cream-colored satin with hand-stitched beads and sequins. The lining is silk, and is used to make a scarf as well.
