Travelling

For me this is a wonderful time! Last week I returned from Thailand where I spend 10 days with my boyfriend, his mom and her boyfriend. Tomorrow I'm leaving for New York for a week. My mom is participating in the Marathon on Sunday, and I´m going to cheer for her! I just hope that it will be a good experience despite of "Sandy" the storm. It's my first trip to the states, and I'm so excited!
In Thailand there is one shop that we always visit: Mike and Co. Tailor. They have so much wonderful fabric, not only Thai-silk, and it´s much cheaper than in Denmark. This time I promised my boyfriend that I would make him a suit for New Year's Eve if we could find some fantastic fabric. And of course we could! He bought 4 meters of dark blue wool and cashmere from Roberto Cavalli  for about 900 DKK (120 Euro).
So when I return from NY I'm going to be busy making the finest suit, I hope!
When I took this picture I got to think, where do all of you store your sewing stuff? I think that it takes a lot of space, and in no time you have hundreds of different threads, markers, needles and so on. That's why I'm so happy for my sewing table. It's handmade by my boyfriend's grandma's sister's husband many many years ago, and I got it about six month ago. I love the look of the fifties that it has, and it can accommodate so much. See for yourself:

Well, that's all from me now, more to come when I return from NY :o)
