A night out?

Friday night must be the right time to show you one more of the dresses I have made!
I made this one for myself last spring. The construction is inspired by japanese "Pattern Magic".
Sadly I don´t remember what kind of fabric it is, but I now that it´s mixed. If I should make it again, then I would use another material, something thinner. But I love the color!

Tote Bag

Just remembered that I promised to show you one of the Tote Bags that I've made... This one is made in a rough canvas with stars and straps in crocodile leather. (I ones bought a bag of leftover crocodile leather in  lots of different colors, and finally I have found something that I can use it for!) The bag is made with black lining inside. Enjoy!

Reveal of...

Finally I can show you the black Gala dress which I have designed, constructed and sewn. It's made in 100% silk both inside and out. It has a very simple cut with a waterfall on the back, and a little extra width from a small wedge center back. I hope you like it!

I can also reveal the present that I made last week... It's a tie made in the most amazing fabric, 100 % wool with a shiny surface. I think it looks so nice! I gave it to my boyfriend’s big brother for his 28th birthday. I think he liked it (and I sure hope, the fabric was not cheap...)! What do you think about it?

Fashion Week & Sunday news

This past four days has Copenhagen been covered in Fashion Week. I participated Thursday were I was at the fair in "Bella Center" helping "I trĂ¥d med verden". You should check out their website, they make lots of nice accessories! The following day (Friday) they got a visit from Crown Princess Mary, so cool that they were chosen!! Unfortunately that was all I did during Fashion week, I was sick. Bad timing!

Below you can see my latest sketches made in Illustrator. Just trying some different stuff, but I think they look great!
I have now taken pictures of my three latest sewing projects. I just need to run them through Photoshop, so they are worth uploading in here!
Hope all of you had a nice weekend!

What happened...

Sorry it’s been so long... I've had so much to do!
1. The Event Silhouettes went so well! A lot of people came to have a look, the atmosphere was good, and so was the entertainment. I talked to a lot of people, got my picture taken next to my jacket by some photographers, and I handed out a lot of my postcards. Hopefully that will bring some job opportunities in the future!! I was also asked to write a small article for a Textile magazine, very interesting I think!
2. I finished the black silk dress yesterday, and I hope to post a picture of it soon, so that all of you can see it. It looks very elegant and classy!
3. I'm so into the Computer Design course that I'm taken! It's cool to make patterns for textile printing (I think I will print one of my patterns on silk, and make a nice fifties dress), and also to draw working sketches of clothes. Below you can see some I've made…
The dress is my own design. I like that it's so classic, and that it makes me think of the feminine fifties... It is simple and feminin!
4. Now I've started working on a present.. I can't tel you much about it yet, because I will give it away this Saturday.. Uhh...

It's snowing!!! :o)

The little black dress

The weekend is just around the corner!
I'm looking forward to it, just started at a computer design course this Monday... It's really interesting and I'm learning so much, but it's hard for the brain ;o) I'm learning all sorts of things in Photoshop, Illustrator and Pad System pattern. Today I started working on pattern report systems, which can be printed out on a textile printer so that I can make my own fabrics. So cool!
But my head needs the weekend now, especially because I'm looking forward to the event on Saturday.
But as always I have a problem... What shall I wear? It will probably be a black dress, that's always elegant and classy, and looks professional.
At the picture down under you can see a black dress that I made a few years ago. It's got laces, a kind of fan at the upper part and swimsuit back. The fabric is not an especially good quality, because I didn’t mind earlier, but I sure do now. Hope you'll enjoy

Event

Remember my participation in the event "Silhouettes" next Saturday the 21. Of January!
It's for free and there will be served a little something to drink. There will also be entertainment in the form of live music, and perhaps a dance show...
The picture below is actually a postcard which I have made (well, actually it's my photographer Jonas Danholt who made it) for the event as a kind of business card... I hope to give a lot of them away!

Sunrays

Today the sun is shining, at least here in Copenhagen where I am. It makes me think of springtime and warmer days. When you feel the sunrays it’s like you suddenly gets more energy. Well, that’s how I feel...
So because of my very early spring mood I will show you a jacket that I made for myself in the end of the summer last year.
The jacket is inspired of my beloved fifties, and it's made in light green colored cotton with viscose lining.
The buttons is upholstered with the same fabric as the jacket. That gives it a stylish Chanel look I think.

Gala dress and Tote bags

Right now I´m working on yet another dress for my mom... This time she needs a dress for a gala at her work in February. We decided that it shall be long and simple, as you can see on my sketch.
I haven't made the pattern yet, but at least I know how it shall be.
The look will be classic and tight, with a waterfall back, and extra width in the back from the bum and down, which will make it easier to walk in. It will be black and all in silk...

Furthermore I'm working on Tote bags. I make some which I can send with applications and some for presents I think… I already finished one, but need a camera before I can show it to you…

First day of 2012

I hope that all of You had a fantastic New Years Eve, I had!
Here, at the first day of 2012, I want to show you a dress which I made for myself in the fall.
I love the 50’s fashion, and surely the dress is inspired by that… I think it has a retro-look with its orange and brown colors.
The dress is made in 100% cotton with viscose lining, and I used the Japanese book “Pattern Magic” to creative the tracery on the upper part.  I hope you like the dress as much as I do. It´s my favorite...
The orange belt used around the waist is by Danish Baum und Pferdgarten

New Year

I hope all of You had a nice Christmas. What are you wearing New Years Eve? I know nothing better than dressing up!! Perhaps you can get inspired for you choice of clothes by this blue silk dress decorated by hand with pearls and sequins. I made it in the fall…
